Affiliation and Membership

Affiliation and Membership

All players, coaches, umpires and volunteers must be affiliated to England Netball; this is done through the England Netball Engage system and when you join the club you will be given instructions on how this works.

Members have to pay affiliation fees and membership fees.

Affiliation fees cover affiliation to the following associations:

  • England Netball Association
  • Netball South West
  • Wiltshire County Netball Association
  • Moonraker League

Membership fees cover raining facilities, coaches, and equipment. Please note that players will not be able to train or play matches until due fees are paid.

The club has certain expectations of players' attendance at training and matches which are set out in our Attendance and Exams Policy. These apply to all senior members and years 9-11 in the junior club. Players, or parents/carers of under 18s, should ensure they can comply with this policy before joining the club.

Payments by cash/cheque will be accepted in exceptional circumstances but a fee of 5% will be added to cover the admin involved to bank this.

Under 16s and their parents are asked to sign up to our Social media agreement, which complies with England Netball's social media policy; a handy guide is here.

As part of the benefits of affiliating to England Netball, members are covered by the All England liability and personal accident insurance policy, without which you cannot play in any league matches. For information about the scope of the policy click here.

You will also receive regular copies of ‘Netball’ magazine, produced by England Netball.

Codes of conduct

All adult and junior players, parents of junior players, coaches, umpires and other volunteers are asked to sign up to the club's codes of conducts:

Medical Conditions and Emergency Contacts

If you have any sort of medical condition which may affect you during training or matches, or which might be necessary for medical personnel to be aware of, please do ensure that the Club Secretary and your Captain knows about it. This may include conditions such as Asthma, Epilepsy, or Allergies. Please also ensure that if you might require medication (for example, an inhaler or epipen), you bring this to every training session or match, and make sure that at least one other person you are playing with is aware of its whereabouts for use in an emergency.

All players are asked for emergency contact details when they register on Engage at the beginning of the season; please ensure that these, as well as any medical conditions, are updated where necessary.
