Devizes Netball Club Junior Netball Weekend 2015 - School Years 8/9 & 10

Dear Parent,

We are really excited to be able to offer all players who are currently playing for JAX or within one of the senior teams the opportunity to attend an all-inclusive netball weekend/activity weekend run by H.C Tournaments at Grosvenor Hall, Ashford over the weekend of Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd March 2015.

The weekend will start with departure by coach for all players from Devizes Leisure Centre at 4pm on Friday 20th March and we will travel directly to Grosvenor Hall to meet our group leader and netball organisers and settle into our accommodation for the weekend.

On the Saturday the girls will play in age group teams in the netball tournament group rounds in either the morning or afternoon and in the session that they are not playing netball they will have the opportunity to attend activities such as abseiling, aeroball, archery and many more. Satursday evening will involve further group activities run by the centre.

Sunday morning all teams will be involved in group matches before the semi finals and finals of the tournament. Upon conclusion of the netball, lunch will be provided before the return coach journey home.

The cost per player is discounted due to a club relationship with the weekend organisers and is priced at £130 per player (please note this is based on 30 girls attending). This is fully inclusive of all travel, accommodation, food, netball and activities. A club tour t-shirt will also be provided.

We are hopeful that with parents support the girls would be able to fundraise a significant amount of the cost of this trip. An example would be a bag pack day, a previous day doing this raised over £500 in 4 hours. Alex Trowbridge, our parent rep and Victoria Bayley have already volunteered to help co-ordinate some fundraising, however to be successful they need the support of the players and their parents.

As these weekends are aimed at school groups departure times are usually early afternoon and groups arrive for dinner on the Friday evening, as we are unable to leave before 4pm, girls will need to bring a packed dinner for their dinner on Friday evening on route to Ashford.

Myself and Nicky Chambers will be the lead coaches supervising this trip and we will be accompanied by at least 2 other appropriate coaches/adults.

To confirm your daughter’s place please complete and return the slip below and return to Nikki Lloyd along with a £30 deposit by 10th November 2014. The balance will need to be paid in full by end of 31st January 2015. Payment in instalments can be arranged, please speak to Nikki Lloyd or Nicky Chambers to confirm this.
