Devizes 1 settling into Regional League 3

With five games now under their belts, Devizes 1 are showing the form that earned them a place in the new Netball Southwest Regional League 3.
After losing the first three matches - all to teams with prior experience at this level - Devizes were delighted to beat fellow newcomers Jupiter away at Bridgewater 48-40, but the next match, at home against local rivals Lawn, exceeded all expectations.
Devizes went out hard from the first whistle, and left their opponents reeling as they put up 23 goals in the first quarter while strong defence from Devizes restricted the visitors to only 4 goals. Lawn recovered their composure but Devizes dominated the centre court and the shooters continued to convert nearly all their opportunities. Despite all twelve players making it off the bench, Devizes didn't lose any form, and with a team shooting percentage of over 85% the home team were delighted with the final score of 76-29.
After the half term break, Devizes visit Bristol to meet Imperials, a fellow qualifier this season, for what should be a close-fought match.
