Age triumph over youth at summer league

Two weeks of intense inter-club rivalry in this year's versatility summer league came to a head as Devizes u19s met their more mature compatriots, Devizes TOGs, in the semi-finals.
Both teams had progressed steadily through the group stages and were pitched against each other in the semi finals.
On a balmy evening, the younger team suffered from an unlucky rotation that saw few of their shooters in the circle, while the TOGs' tenacity and experience kept the score close. Only in the last quarter were the TOGs able to pull away, to win the game 21-16.
In the finals, the TOGs were narrowly beaten by Chippenham Blues 23-25, while the u19s beat Fitzmaurice by 2 goals to take third place.
